Best Classic Holiday Films For Families!

Scrooge

Getting ready for some Christmas Movies?? I am!! Here is a list of some of the best classic holiday films for families to watch together for Christmas! And the order of this list is random, before I begin to hear about how the Nightmare before Christmas should be number 1 lol! Nothing beats the classics; I’m a classics kind of girl♥

 1. The Santa Clause (1994)

What I find so endearing about this movie is how Scott Calvin becomes Santa Clause lol. His son, who was told by his therapist step dad that Santa doesn’t exist, is in for a big surprise when he gets to help his dad, Santa, for Christmas. I’m not going to spoil it on how Scott Calvin becomes Santa, but it’s a freaking cute movie with beautiful moments.

2. A Christmas Story (1983)

For years my sister and I had this tradition to watch the 24 hours of a Christmas story together. Now between all the kids we pass out after two hours hahahaha but this movie is truly one to remember. The dad with that leg lamp killed me!! The jealous mom broke it I couldn’t stop laughing, I honestly would’ve done the same! A true holiday film for families♥

3. The Nightmare before Christmas (1993)

Do I really need to…I love this film!! If you don’t know this movie, watch it today! It unites both Halloween and Christmas, a truly magical film. It took 4 years to make this movie!! A skeleton who decides to take another holiday, truly hilarious!!

4. The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

Ebeneezer Scrooge makes his appearance Muppet style in this classic film. If you love Kermit the frog, miss’s piggy; and all the Muppet characters, you will enjoy this film with your family! Lessons are learned, and an evil man Christmas hating man, turns into a heart warmed Christmas loving individual! Truly heartwarming, and shows the true meaning of Christmas.

5. Frosty the Snowman (1969)

Frosty the snowman, was a jolly happy soul, or however the lyrics go lol!  We all love this classic film of a snowman that comes to life and brightens the heart of children. Although it would be kind of creepy to see a snowman bobbing around in real life, we enjoy the animated film instead!:)

 Bonus film****!!!

6. Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966)

Of course this movie had to make it on this list!!! If you read my post from yesterday you would see that this is one of my all-time favorite classic film for the holidays! This story makes me laugh and cry, the Grinch, a miserable Christmas hating creature, tries to destroy Christmas for the town of Whoville by stealing everything on Christmas eve while they sleep. He’s in for a big surprise in the morning when he hears them singing and sees them holding hands. His heart grows three sizes and he feels bad and returns everything, and they invite him to dinner, truly classic film with cute little Cindy Lou who♥♥
