Linda’s Natural Hair Straightened!

photovisi-download

Hey everyone! So you guessed it, I tried it! Here is Linda’s Natural Hair straightened. I loved the look, but sadly, humid heat in Florida doesn’t like natural hair that’s straightened, seriously lol. I’m, going to a natural hair salon to get advice for future hair straightening as well as possibly having my hair done.

Here are the steps on how I did my hair and possibly some mistakes I made. As much as I research I have to admit, I really wasn’t prepared and should have researched more. To think I spent days researching and watching hair  videos on it!! Thank goodness I am well informed on heat damage at least, and know how to prevent it. However, making the style last, haha, not so much.

1. Started with clean hair (washed yesterday).

2. Did a rubber rod set on parted hair to stretch my hair overnight (may possibly blow dry instead next time.)

3. Flattened slowly with a comb to make it as sleek as possible.

4. Tada, beautiful, but humidity didn’t like it lol

Products used: New products that I wanted to try:)

These products worked great, but humidity doesn’t accept natural hair straightened sometimes lol.

1. Cantu Shea Butter Moisturizing Cream Shampoo

2. Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream

3. Fantasia IC Argan Smoothing Serum

To wrap it up…

I straightened my hair to see how it would look since I’m natural now. I call this an experiment, that horribly failed but hey it’s ok! This was just a first attempt at straightening my hair being a full pledge natural now.  However, I learned to wait for the right weather before I dive in and straighten it. I will have better results next time.  Any questions or comments feel free to ask Linda thank you!
